Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
This chicken noodle soup is perfect for cool weather nights with the family! Made with locally raised goods, you can find comfort in this meal.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons Dan and Debbie’s salted butter
- 2 large carrots
- 1/2 onion
- 3 cloves of garlic; minced
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup Dan and Debbie’s heavy cream
- 3/4 cup pasta of your choice
- Italian seasoning (to taste)
- 1 cups cooked shredded chicken
Instructions
- Heat butter in a large pot over medium-high heat until melted. Sauté onion and carrots for 2 to 3 minutes until softened. Cook garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add flour and cook for about 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth, cream, pasta, and Italian seasoning and let it come to a gentle boil.
- Simmer with the lid slightly ajar from your pot for 10 minutes.
- Add shredded chicken and simmer for another 7 minutes.
