Red, White and Blue Strawberry Shortcake Dessert Cups

This is a follow your heart kinda recipe, my favorite! These red, white and blue strawberry shortcake dessert cups are light, refreshing and delicious! Perfect for a backyard barbecue, holiday, or just for fun!

Ingredients

• Strawberries; sliced
• Blueberries
• Dan and Debbie’s Creamery heavy cream
• sugar, to taste
• vanilla extract, to taste
• Pound Cake
• Mini American Flag Toothpicks; optional
• Dessert cups/bowls

Instructions

1. Start by cutting your pound cake into small 1 inch cubes and put them in your desert cups.
2. Add some heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla into a bowl and whip until stiff peaks form.
3. Dollop whipped cream on top of pound cake cups. Top with strawberries, another dollop of whipped cream and garnish with a few blueberries. Serve immediately.
