Why Iowa made?
At Dan and Debbie’s Creamery, locally made is important to us. As family farmers, we want to support and lift up other local businesses. That’s why when we made the decision to include a small retail store in our creamery, it only made sense to fill it with other products made locally in the state of Iowa.
It was our family’s goal to highlight other farmers and producers in our state who create local, wholesome products just like us. And we wanted to bring back a bit of the good ole days, when our grandparents would go to the store and buy products made just down the road.
In our creamery store, you will find all Iowa-made products, all the time. From locally raise meats like beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and elk – yes even elk! – to kitchen staples like flour, cornmeal, honey, pickled vegetables, granola, and jams, there’s a little bit of Iowa all over our creamery store. We also have a few novelty items in our store that you can’t find elsewhere, like llama felted milk soap, beef liver, alpaca fiber cat nip toys, cow candles, ice cream pint cozy’s!
It is our hope that when you visit Dan and Debbie’s Creamery you get a real taste of Iowa, and can peruse the best of what our great state has to offer. If you really want to get a taste of Iowa, you should mark your calendars for our next event this fall, the Taste of Iowa: Holiday Eats Edition event will be on Saturday, November 9th! Some of our retail partners will be on-site sampling their delicious products that are all made right here in Iowa, just in time for the holidays! You will not want to miss this holiday sampling event, so mark your calendars now. You can also follow our Facebook event page for this event too so you don’t miss a thing.
