Partner Highlight: O’Brien’s Own Gourmet Granola

O’Brien’s Granola originally came to be when the store was out of Rick’s favorite granola, so Belinda said she would make him some granola. He didn’t think hers would be as good as what he bought, but of course, she proved him wrong making a granola that was superior in both taste and health benefits! They shared the granola with family and friends and everyone loved it, so they decided to sell some, and O’Brien’s Own Gourmet Granola grew from there!

Amy & Matthew Brown got into granola when the company founders, Rick & Belinda O’Brien retired.  Both of their sons had worked for O’Brien’s when they were in high school, so they were very familiar with the business and how great the granola is. Amy and Matthew were blessed to be able to purchase the business.

O’Brien’s Own Gourmet Granola’s passion stems from their desire to serve God and to serve others. They are committed to wholesome and nutritious ingredients and strive to create and perfect unique granola recipes. The desire to promote a healthy lifestyle and provide customers with a delicious, guilt-free snack contributes to that sustained enthusiasm. Additionally, the joy of crafting a product from scratch, experimenting with flavors, and witnessing the positive impact on customers’ well-being fosters a sense of fulfillment.  Their desire to have a positive impact on others keeps them engaged and passionate in the granola business.

While O’Brien’s Own Gourmet Granola does not have a retail storefront, they do have a building where they bake and package their granola in Center Point, Iowa. Customers are always welcome to place an order online and pick it up there, or even just stop in and get some granola to take home and enjoy!
