Today, we are making a fresh batch of white cheddar cheese curds in the make room of our creamery. It takes six hours to make a batch of fresh curds – we start with 480 gallons of whole milk fresh from our family farm. When the curds are ready around 2 pm, we begin packaging over 600 bags of curds by hand. Stop by our creamery to watch us working, and after 2 pm you can buy freshly made squeaky cheese curds. In accordance with the USDA, we only sell our curds at room temperature for up to 4 hours after they’ve been made – so don’t miss out on these warm, squeaky curds! Check our Facebook page to see exactly what time fresh curds are available today.
