Reintroduction

It’s Josie here, and wow, does time fly! Can you believe it’s been over 7 years since we embarked on this incredible journey? As the daughter of Dan and Debbie, I’ve grown up surrounded by the hardest working family you’ll ever meet. We have so many new people who have found us over the last several years we figured it’s about time we reintroduce ourselves to you – our amazing and supportive community!

As many of you know, our story began when Mom and Dad decided to turn their passion for farming into something truly special. Starting from nothing they decided to buy a small farm just outside of Ely, Iowa. They dabbled in a lot of different types of farming: beef, row crop, custom work, and even sheep they were bound and determined to make their farm successful. Though it was no easy feat (perhaps a story for another blog) they managed to become first generation dairy farmers in the late 90’s. It wasn’t long after they started the dairy that they began to desire more and envisioned a place that worked with the farm to provide dairy products with their milk and a place where families could experience the magic of really good dairy products firsthand, and thus, Dan and Debbie’s Creamery was born.

Our creamery isn’t just a business; it’s a labor of love. From the fields of our farm to the delicious treats we create, every aspect of what we do is a reflection of our commitment to quality, family, and community.

Over the years, you’ve followed us on Facebook (nearly 17,000 strong!) and Instagram (just shy of 5,000 fabulous followers!) as we shared the daily joys and challenges of running a family creamery. We’ve celebrated new flavors, introduced you to our beloved cows, and even given you a sneak peek into our automated milking process (thanks, robots!).

As for me, I can’t help but feel a deep connection to this creamery – it’s in my DNA! It’s also one of the reason four out of six of us kids decided to come back to the farm. We want nothing more than to build off of the legacy our parents laid forth. In upcoming blog posts, I’ll be sharing more about my experiences growing up on the dairy farm the process to opening Dan and Debbie’s Creamery. From life on the farm to launching new products, I’m excited to give you a glimpse into my world and the heart behind our family business.

This reintroduction isn’t just about where we’ve been; it’s about where we’re headed. We’ve got some exciting plans in the works, from fresh recipes to new products and everything in-between, and we can’t wait to bring you along for the ride.
