Tour groups learn how the Takes family carries out each step of the process - from the dairy farm to the creamery. They also see the production room and learn how we make each of our farm-fresh dairy products. Ice cream is served at the end, of course!
A group of high schoolers from Isaac Newton Christian Academy are taking a tour of the creamery to supplement their education for a J-term class. They will learn what it takes to start and sustain a small business from our experience.
Oakland Rd. Hy-Vee is hosting a variety of vendors to sample their products. We will be there sampling our local dairy including squeaky cheese curds and cream-top milk.
Today, we are making a fresh batch of white cheddar cheese curds in the make room of our creamery. Stop by our creamery to watch us work, and after 2 pm today you can buy freshly made squeaky cheese curds.
